Prose Parser LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Prose Parser text analysis service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Text content: The text you submit for analysis.
- Email address: Provided at payment so we can send you a link to your results when analysis is complete.
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information Collected Automatically
- Scan metadata: Scan ID, word count, and timestamps generated when you submit text.
- Server logs: IP address and browser type, collected by our infrastructure provider (AWS).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and analyze the text you submit
- Send you a notification email with a link to your results
- Process your payment
- Provide you access to your analysis results via a unique token URL
- Maintain and protect the security of our service
3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary:

We do not retain your text for training, machine learning, or any secondary purpose. Your data is automatically deleted — no manual request is needed.
4. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
- We do not use advertising or ad tracking
- We do not use third-party analytics (no Google Analytics or similar tracking scripts)
- We do not use your text for AI training or any purpose other than providing your analysis
- No human reviews your submitted text — processing is fully automated
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Prose Parser:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Your payment information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to their Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Infrastructure, including servers and storage. Subject to the AWS Privacy Policy.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery (results notifications). Subject to the Resend Privacy Policy.
- Substack — Newsletter signup (optional). If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email goes directly to Substack and is subject to their Privacy Policy. We do not store newsletter subscriber emails.
6. Cookies
We use a single cookie for CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) protection. This is a strictly necessary, functional cookie required for security — it is not used for tracking. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.
7. Data Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures:
- Encryption at rest: Your text is encrypted in storage using AWS KMS
- Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Token-based access: Results are accessed via cryptographically random tokens that cannot be guessed
- No accounts: We don't store passwords because we don't create user accounts
- Web Application Firewall: Protection against common web attacks
8. Children's Privacy
Prose Parser is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
Prose Parser is operated from the United States. If you are accessing our service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right to access: You can access your results via your unique token URL
- Right to erasure: Your data is automatically deleted after 7 days
- Right to data portability: Your results are available to view and copy during the 7-day retention period
- Right to object: Contact us if you have concerns about how we process your data
Our lawful basis for processing your data is contractual necessity — we process the text you submit in order to provide the analysis service you requested.
10. California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have additional rights:
- Right to know: This policy describes the categories of information we collect and how we use it
- Right to delete: Your data is automatically deleted after 7 days
- Right to opt-out of sale: We do not sell your personal information
- Right to non-discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your analysis results using your unique token URL
- Have your data automatically deleted after 7 days (no action required)
- Contact us with questions or concerns about your data
Because we do not create user accounts, there is no profile to update or account to delete. Your data is automatically removed after the retention period.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
Your continued use of Prose Parser after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
